Traveling all the way from the Netherlands with their children, Anniek & Mat chose the beautiful beach town of Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, for their intimate destination elopement. Nestled on the Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa is known for its laid-back surf vibe, breathtaking sunsets, jungle roads, and wild natural beauty. Part of the adventure is simply getting there — including a scenic ferry ride across the Gulf of Nicoya, making the journey feel even more special and unforgettable.
Their ceremony took place at sunset, with the ocean, golden light, and tropical breeze creating the perfect atmosphere for such an emotional and intimate moment. Wanting to celebrate not only as a couple but also together with their children, they requested a cozy beach picnic after the ceremony where they could toast and enjoy the evening as a family.
We created a relaxed and boho style setup under a beautiful tree by the beach with natural linens, soft cushions, champagne, fresh fruit, and delicious treats — the perfect space to slow down and soak in the moment together.
The celebration also included an incredible photo and video session around Santa Teresa. From romantic moments at a local bar to fun, cinematic shots on the streets and with ATVs by the beach, every part of the day captured the adventurous spirit of Costa Rica and the unique energy of Santa Teresa.
It was intimate, fun, emotional, and effortlessly beautiful — a true Costa Rican elopement experience surrounded by nature, adventure, and family.
